Man: It seems that the situation with your friends is worrying you. It’s good you don’t want to accept their behaviour. If you really want to move away from the group, try slowly spending less time with them and look around for others that you can spend some time with. Woman: I’d like to tell you about last weekend. My family and I went to Rovers Holiday Park. It’s a small site, but there are many attractions. We checked in and my brother immediately decided to try out a climbing wall. The rest of us went to see a show. It turned out to be very funny. At one point, the actors invited some people to come on stage and I was brave enough to do that. The next day we visited a place which looks like a museum, but actually, it’s a studio where you can paint all sorts of objects. In the evening we had a barbecue. The weekend was great.

Man: As temperatures are getting higher, we’re reminding all pet owners to keep their pets cool this summer. Just like humans, animals can suffer from heat stress, so you should always make sure there’s some shade for your pet. Remember that dogs which are left in cars or garages on a hot day are in great danger. If you notice your pet is getting too warm, cool it down by spraying it with cold water.

Man: The Education Secretary suggested that British students should spend more time at school each day. What’s your view?

Woman: Well..., in many countries students spend even less time at school than in Britain. But if you ask me, a longer day at school will help students get ready for their future jobs. British students do well in their exams, but many of them have problems when they enter the job market, so it might be a good idea.

Man: Thanks for your opinion.

Jane: Hi, Paul. Sorry I couldn’t be here to see your play last week. Did it go well?

Paul: Very well. I couldn’t believe so many people had come to see it.

Jane: Lucky you. Did you have one of the big parts?

Paul: Well...I only had a few short lines to say, but Mrs Wilson promised to give me something more challenging next time. Anyway, to celebrate our success we’re organizing a trip to see The Globe. No other theatre in London can compare to it. That’s great. Let’s stay in touch.
