Due to severe snowstorms in northern Scotland, our service from London King’s Cross to Inverness will terminate at Perth today. A replacement bus service has been arranged between Perth and Inverness. However, should the weather conditions in the area deteriorate, this service cannot be guaranteed. All passengers are advised to check the timetables once we reach Perth, as low overnight temperatures may lead to further disruption. After our next stop, which is scheduled in 20 minutes, we will provide you with updated information.

Woman: Imagine you’ve come up with a brilliant idea that will modernize the world of technology. And now you want to secure your rights as an inventor. What do you have to do?

Man: First, check that nobody has invented it before you, so that you will be able to benefit from exploiting a niche in the market. Make sure you don’t restrict your search to just a few websites and carry out thorough research on the Internet. If nothing similar to your idea turns up, go to the Patent Office. After quite a simple procedure, you can protect your intellectual property rights by preventing anyone else from illegally using, selling, importing or redesigning your invention for up to 20 years.
