This year, the members of the Australian Crocs Society have decided to check the number of crocodiles in Iron Range National Park as they’ve been seen there more often than in recent years. The team spent the last month on a risky mission, counting the crocodiles in the park. Yesterday, one of the volunteers tried to do it from a canoe. As crocks don’t usually attack people on boats, the volunteer came close to the bank where he saw the animals. Suddenly, three crocodiles swam swiftly to the canoe, hitting it and turning it over. Luckily enough, the other members of the team, who were on a motor boat in the area, came to his rescue and so the crocs didn’t injure the careless volunteer.

Woman: Mark, is it easy for university graduates to find employment nowadays? 

Man: Definitely not. As an employer, I would say that only about 15% of the young will get their dream jobs. 

Woman: Is the situation that bad? 

Man: Let’s be realistic, about 70% of the graduates will be hired within a year, but I mentioned a dream job. Young people, like their parents, look for permanent employment. According to the latest data, only about one third of them will be able to get it, just as it was the year before. The rest of them will work on temporary contracts. 

Wooman: But companies like yours are looking for new employees, aren’t they? 

Man: You see, these companies want a workforce capable of doing very specific tasks. And in my opinion, about half of the applicants lack the skills required by companies like mine.
